Well the last few days have been busy and I haven't had time to blog. I helped a friend clean out a shed and I've been working on 2 baby afghans, one that had to be done today for a baby shower and the other one has to be done in the next day or two as it needs to get in the mail to a friend for a silent auction that she is doing.
Finished the afghan for the shower and they loved it. Can't wait for the baby to arrive so we can get a picture of him wrapped in it. The shower was fun, I'm not used to guys being at baby showers. Back in 1978 when my son was born that was unheard of, now it's the norm. They played a game just for the men they had to put a large balloon under their shirts and then with feet flat on the ground see who could tie there shoes the fastest. We got a good laugh as they all said " How do you do this I can't see my feet!" We ladies that have been pregnant all just laughed at them cause we all had been there for the whole second half of our pregnancies not just a few minutes for a game. Came home after the shower to discover our water bed has a leak!!!
So we stripped it to try to find the leak and realized it must be on the bottom of the mattress so we have to empty the whole thing which has so far taken about 3 hours because it keeps loosing the suction and we have to go out and get it going again. So this has made it difficult to get the second afghan done that I need to finish. So I'm planning a late night to make up for the time I've lost with the baby shower and the leaking bed.
I'm planning to make sets of juggling balls with a bag to store them in as my next item in my shops. Look for them by the end of next week.
Going on a little mini vacation with the girls for the next few days so I'll be with out my computer. I'll write about our adventures when I return. We are going to a casino and it's a first for all 3 of us so I'm sure I'll have some interesting things to share.
